so i got my silver arowana like 2 weeks ago and over the past 2 days he has been very slugish, he is about 4 1/2in long. he really hasnt eaten much iv tryed feeding him guppies, frozen blood worms and even pellets. when he does eat its very little (like 5 tiny blood worms). he only swims on the surface of the water (idk if thats standard or not for arowanas). i have 1 air stone and 1 bubble wall and i keep the tank at 80 degrees. can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong. any help is apreciated

its a 30 gallon tank. i know its small, im upgrading soon. i have the arowana, 2 peacock bass, 1 RTC, 1 TSN, 1 Soulth American ciclid, 1 blowfish, and 2 mollys, all are very small. and idk my water perameters

First off an aro that small should be in a tank by himself, they are very easily stressed at that size.
Secondly, that tank will only last a couple of months. You need to upgrade very soon just to let your new tank cycle in time and with that stock it will have to be a VERY huge tank.
And finnaly, Your water perameters are very important. without knowing that no one can help you.

Sorry if I sound mean but all this stuff is important to have healthy, happy fish.

you dont sound mean at all, i actually really appreciate your help. btw i just when over to my tank and my RTC was dead, do you think disease could be a factor

Wow good luck dude, those are monster fish my RTCxTSN grew 2' in 9 months nvm all the others, I guarantee your water quality is off the charts

And I'm sure you just bought all these and didnt cycle your tank correct?

You should probably do some research before buying fish that all require 200g+ fish tank and putting them in a 30g. Hate to sound "mean" but what you have in a 30g is absolutely ridiculous. Based upon what you have proven so far, I would not be surprised if you had more dead fish on your hands.

Get a test kit, a much bigger tank and do some reading around here. Get all of those fish into a bigger tank with properly cycled water, or consider selling or donating them to a local fish store.

One of most shockingly overstocked tanks Ive ever heard of on here to be honest. I would be more blatant and insulting to you, but all you need to know, is almost nothing in that tank should be kept by someone who obviously has NO CLUE what they are doing and keeping.
