Hi all,

Well I have gotten my wife involved in my hobby, and I have created a monster. If you have read my plywood build I have been in the progress of moving, and prepping the house I am moving into. Well I got my 2 tanks in place and I got the Honey.. Can we make this look better? So I offered to build a nicer stand, then the Monk in her came out and said the to tanks do not line up. HMMMM. how do I fix this? One tank is a 55 and the other a 75, so I told her I could build the stand, and put 2 75's in place there. So after brief thought she said OK. :jaw-dropp

Here is the before...

Gotta love the Ghetto stands.

Stay tuned for the after

Gonna do some aquascaping also.

This is what happened to us. We bought a 75 and put it next to our 55. My husband didn't like the way they looked side-by-side. So, we bought another 75, which left the 55 empty... 2 years and almost 2,000 gallons later... yeah. Get ready! :D

lol... did you ever consider simply scooting the other tank up to make the fronts align?

nonetheless.. awesome

Only difference is that the lip will be narrower, and it will be book shelves under the tank. Plus there will be a matching hood with a filtration idea in the hood that I have running around in my mind. Trying on my 20G this weekend as well as starting the stand (Hopefully)

I did as well as my Stepson, tho I told him to hush so I could upgrade :naughty:

Perhaps you could squeeze the 55 in the middle, so
(75)(55)(75)

and align the fronts, giving the optical illusion from all angles (except overhead) that they're all 75s
