A tighter shot would help, because with many of the tribe Geophagini, it is small details that make a difference, such as arrangement of spots on the fins .
And if its a female, or immature, its even harder, because on 1st glance, they all look very similar.

It's in the Geo. steindachneri complex...but which one?
I looked on CRC and they don't have a key for differentiating (other than collection location).

I'm being told it's a Pellegrini. The seller says he has both steins and pellegrini on hand.

Sure pellegrini and crassilabrus don't have that blue iridescence, especially at a young age like steindachneri....
