I bought an eel two days ago and think I may have gotten a monster to be. I bought the eel because it had a different pattern than most of the eels that I have seen but upon having it in my own tanks I think it is a tire track eel.

Tyre-track eel there. Yes, it will get big, provided you feed it well and give it space. 2 feet with good conditions I'd say.
Alright thank you, I will probably grow him to around 12-14" before I will either try to ypgrade or let him go to someone else
It is a Mastacembelus favus, so it won't get really big (like its close relative, M. armatus). He'll probably top out somewhere between 20 and 28 inches.
alright, well 20-28 is quite large compared to my other fish haha but what is the growth rate like for this species?
