I was fishing earlier today and looking for crawfish to use and it seemed like every rock I picked up had a tiny catfish under it. I found one crayfish, but about ten 2in. catfish under rocks right on the edge of the river. They were in very shallow water. I caught one using my hand and a bucket and brought it home to investigate in my 55. It doesn't look like a channel cat to me, I have had a bunch of those, it seems stockier. I'm going to get a shot in the tank in a bit but heres an overhead view from the bucket. The only fish I can find on planet catfish that looks similar is the flathead and Im pretty sure they aren't very common in southeast pa. Does anyone know what this is based on where I found it and where I'm located. It was in the Brandywine river in Downingtown.
