i.d needed (Thorichthys)

I bought this guy about 8 months ago as a 1.5" Thorichthys "Aureus" (so it was labelled) he/she is now 5.5" and never really coloured up, any idea what he/she is and what sex?

I'm not 100% sure but i'd say its aureum/aureus. They look like the ones i almost picked up at a lfs. I'd pm davidefc he seems to be pretty knowledgeable on thorichthys and he's in your neck of the woods i believe.

It would be a complete guess on sex from me. But comparing it to my T. Passiones i'd say its a male. From the pics it appears to have a tall body which is same as my male passiones. My females are more slender. Again i could be completely wrong

Aureus or Ellioti... Its probably a male and they can be very aggressive.

He does nip all of my small Severums, hes feisty with anything smaller than him, he dont mess with my bigger fish tho
