netted some fish from where i fish... theres thousands of them!! all pecking on my legs as i was fishing. netted some for i.d.

most likely eastern blacknose dace.

Looks like an emerald shiner, but I'll be right back with positive ID.

Okay, here's a list of possibilities:

-Emerald Shiners (my guess)
-Mimic Shiner (Maybe, but their range is usually further south)
- Pugnose shiner
- River shiner (my second guess)
- Weed Shiner

I'm not good at ID'ing these kinds of fish, but I'm pretty certain it's one of these.

Definitely a Notropis sp.; I'm pretty sure it's a bridled shiner, N. bifrenatus.
