Yes it is a cownose ray. Very commonly kept at public aquariums for displays and touch tanks. The Florida Aquarium in Tampa is a great aquarium. I had a biologist internship there as an undergrad. Haven't been back in a long time, but I hope to soon.

Yes I believe so. We went to several on our trip. We also went to discovery cove for the dolphin experience and coral reef. I have pictures of huge spotted eagle rays and many other rays we swam with. It was the best day of my life haha!
