I just bought this guy for $10 from a lps, he was marked as a JD?:nilly:

Anyways, I think he's some kind of vieja, either that or he's a hybrid. Here are the cruddy shots.

Oh yeah, he's 3.5".

In bag and really stressed:

This is him about 30 seconds after being released into the tank:

Anyways, help me id it please as I have never owned any vieja before and can't tell the difference really. Wow, last pic has glare, really bad glare. XP

yes some type of vieja sorry i'm bad with them not sure what type but someone here will know

Could be any of many Paratheraps/Vieja type. Probably one of the more common ones, like synspilium. You're going to need to grow it out a bit before we can say for sure.

With one guess I'd say synspilum, but as it grows, it could very well be a bifasciatum. If you can get better pics of it settled in, that would help. Even still, it may be difficult to tell at that size.

edit: Modest beat me to it...:)

id say vieja zonatum

Good lookin little fella. Could be a bifa, or maybe a hartwegi? Not sure.

id say umbee no jk i have no idea
