I.D. this guy,give me your opinion...

I bought this guy a month or two ago from a small shop,he was super stressed with no color and somewhat skinny.The dude told me(very unsure sounding)that he was a Red Headed cichlid.I thought,with the faded stripes and peticular markings he had that he could possibly be a Red Terror,obviously not the case now that he's grown from 4" to 6"+. I think he looks like a Synspilum x Red Terror considering the olive sheen,red belly and fins and red fringe on the top fin,which all gets more colorful everyday.What do you guys think? Looks like a hybrid to me.....with what mix I have no idea.

Common names usually get you nowhere, especially with such a commonly used one as red headed cichlid. Regardless, it looks hybrid to me as well.

I definately see the vieja in it, but I don't know what else?

Indeed it looks like a hybrid. My guess would be it has some paratheraps/vieja blood in it. Along with some trimac blood.

Yeah,the Red on his belly and gills would make sense with the Trimac.I always refer to him as "the ugly flowerhorn"...
