THEY DONT LOOK LIKE THE RED TIGERS I HAVE IN STOCK. COULD THEY BE Cichlasoma friedrichsthalii ???

Well infact some of the fish in the second picture you posted are indeed fredrichstahli. The fish is the second picture that is on the bottom foreground to the right is a freddy. What likely happened is that you recieved a mixed bag of guapotes, it happens all the time. Through my years of keeping cichlids I can tell you such a situation likely had don conkel behind it. I know the man, he always does things like this. He raises motaguense and freddys in ponds in his place in florida.

Looking at the second picture that you posted, the second fish from your filter looks to a motaguense. Its gold/yellow tone along with red colors means that it might be a cross between the gold morph and the red morph. If it is so then it really suggests these are conkels fish. He supplies most of motaguense for most of the world infact. He is based here in tampa and all of his fish are pond raised. If you could trace this fish back to their original source then I believe they are conkel products. If them then their parents.
