I bought a male JD (3,5 inches) for my female (4 inches) yesterday. I am conscient that the chances of creating a pair are low, but it worked pretty good. The female seemed to accept the male; swimming side by side, little liplocking, staying together behind a piece of driftwood.
This morning, things are a little diffrerent : the female chases the male pretty hard.
Is this normal or the pairing have failed ? How do I know that a couple have been created.
