i dont get it

i read somewhere here(cant find it now) that if your gar goes up for air every 10 to 15 mins its fine but earlier than that then theres something wrong. well i `just transfered my gars into a new 220 gal and it seems they keep on going up for air..about every 3-4 minutes. is there something wrong?
