Since when cornsnakes are "ilegal wild life to posses", "passible of transmiting exotic desiases" or "worth more then a 1000 dolllars"? The last time I checked even the most abvanced morphs dont go far from 200 as they lossed alot popularity to things like boa and python morphs. And since when do you have to get a lincense to breed what is by all means, domesticated strains of this snake?:screwy: I agree with disabling the drug dealers however the people that wrote this dont know a pinch about snakes for peat sake, and the ignorant viewers then must associate us all to stuff like wild life smugling ("the albino corns are endangered because of herp keepers:ROFL:) and drug consuming:grinno: I dont smoke cigarretes, let alone other stuff;)

And if corn snakes are native to North America how would their possecion be considered "import":screwy:

I couldn't get the link to open for some reason but the url is a .com.au which means its Australian. All exotic species are banned in Australia and I'm sure corn snakes fetch a lot more money on their black market then they would here in the US.

Yeah Australia has some wacky laws, but I'm sure they're there for a reason. Prices for exotic animals are nuts! I heard a member tell me that a convict cichild can normally go for between $30 and $40 bucks!

I agree with Chris Anderson. Australia has always been very strict about keeping animals. Just recently the government their made it legal for people to posses reptiles in the private sector without permits. Considering that their climate is very hospitable to such a wide array of animals. It's understandable that a lot of flora and fauna are illegal. Lots of the animals that we take for granted being able to acquire here in the states fetch a pretty penny over there and are difficult to get.
