ok so i "might" be getting a bigger tank this Christmas but i might want to try African cichlid but i looove south american cichlid... I am stuck....
Oh and i have a planted 30gallon but never can keep plant alive for every long... i might want to turn that in to a African cichlid tank but i have angelfish in it right now and i looove my angelfish... :nilly: Help...
 
happy isnt gettin what you want ,it is likin what you got ,dont worry about bigger tank until you got it.youknow youll be sorry if you get rid of fish you like. it IS nice to dream though.

ok well i might want to try African cichlid in my 30 gallon but i want ones like Peacock Cichlid or something that really bight in color

so what can i do... I know a little about African cichlid but is it ok for me to use the eco complete that i have in there now as the substrate?
 
ya ,most africans wil be ok with most any substrate. have you thought about jewels or kribinsis , they make for a nice ,fairly peaceful ,african setting .......that eco complete doesnt lower ph ,i hope ,if it doesnt you should be fine.

I had a pair of kribs but the female died and could i do yellow labs and some Cynotilapia afra... or what? i really don't like jewel cichlids
