Has anyone ever heard or had a case of their Ornate Bicher eatting other fish's sh**? like literally. In my tank, crap used to build up every few weeks and ever since i moved in my ornate, i dont see any crap around and i NEVER see it eat the food i put in, yet it has a huge stomach like its been feasting on something.

I just thought this would be something interesting. At least now i dont have to clean the tank as often since the ornate vacuums the tank =P
 
hunger does crazy things... who knows! doesnt that fish know anything about hepatitis... ba dump CH
 
Since bichirs hunt primarily with their sense of smell, the smell of sh** may contain a few traces of what the other fishes ate. My bichirs sometimes bite other bichirs' sh*t but they immediately spit those out once they get a taste of their catch. YUUUCK!
 
thats pretty nasty, as far as i know mine takes dumps more then he eats them.:ROFL:

the truth.


when my ohter fish eats my senegal gets right up behinde his gills and smells the water coming out. it's creepy.
 
hahahaha ohhhh man....well i used to have to drop the food like right on top of my ornate to eat, now i just drop it in instead of next to it since its grown so much. oh well, its nice to have multiple housekeepers in the tank especially after my silver killed my avocado pleco =(
