I really think I should stop fish keeping now because I dont know, i just love fish but when i see a dead fish, with bulging eyes and like open mouths, i just cant take it. I start freaking out and keep pushing myself to throw it out but its so hard to hold it in a net and move towards the toilet hehe. I just lost a dat cuz it got sucked into a pump and it looks dead but Im afraid to move the rocks and look directly ugh. I might just stop altogether...

Does anyone have this? Like when they see something dead, they stop moving and their body freezes?

sorry to hear of your losses man. It can be tough sometimes and can be very unfair at times. Don't give up though. If you feel that way then you obviously care about your fish and we could use more people like you in the hobby.

true true but like I hate that "dead look" its like floating with the body all curved and crooked. Does this bother anyone? Or are people immune to the way it dies?

the only thing that bothers me is the fact that the fish is dead...i have no problem seeing it when its dead..or..the way it died

sorry for the losses though bro..sucks to lose a fish..but it happens

I would have to say that the dead fish look never really bothered me. I feel sad that they died especially when i'm doing everything right and they die of the one incurable disease. You care for your fish, which is what more fish keepers should do.

no offense but dead fish unfortionatly is a part of fish keeping. so either get some one else to take care of it or man up (or woman i dont know which you are) and take care of the fish and remember its better for your live fish to get rid of the dead ones.

thats true.. i know thats its part of fish keepin..

i dun know why they died either...

i think you need to grow a pair and realize that things die every day. if a fish is the worst of your problems you have issues

Sorry About your losses. I used to do the same thing.
