i bought a very old about 15-18 inch aro from my local pet store and his fins have been nipped to the bare skin of the aro. He has absolutely zero fins so he looks kinda like a snake but i decided to rescue him in the chance that he will recover. i am aware that his fins will most likely not grow back normal but i am wondering how long this will take to completely heal or until he can have some aerodynamic ability within the water. my water perimeters are perfect and there is no other fish that will nip him, he is in a 150 gallon tank.
i dont think this fin nip will heal....

i will attempt to add a pic if i can get a good enough picture, since he has no fins at all he moves his whole body to propel himself so it might be difficult
