Please explain. I have aleays used HOB.

benificial bacteria thrive on well airated water and the wet dry containers allow for more media and also increase the volume of water in the tank all this allows for more or bigger fish in a tank if you had a couple arrows in a 200g with cans or hobs the fish would not do as well as in a tank with a large wet dry.(in a nutshell)

What size tanks should you use them with. I am getting a 55, is that too small?

What fish do you have or are you stocking.... Common answer would be... Big fish eats allot produces lots of waste like... Oscar,GT's, or a overpopulated tank.... Wet dry is going to be the way to go and I don';t have one yet .. But am about to build one... For my 55..

Like they said less work in the long run, eaasier maintinance.... More water flow happier fish... But don't take my word for it as I'm just blowin smoke as I have yet to experience a wet dry yet... but I've been reading and talkin with the lfs staff.. Plus they just flat out look fun to make!!

I am not capable of building anything...
