I don't understand why people do this

I really don't understand why people buy 30 african cichlids for a 55 gallon tank and completely over stock it like look at this tank that obviously has way too many fish

That's way more than 30 fish and that's not a 55g either. 30 in a 55g is a li'l much. 20 is no problem in my eyes tho.

As long as you got the filtration for them, more the merrier! Africans are much much much less aggressive in over stocked tanks.

this tank looks like the ones u see at public aquariums where they stuff a lot of african ciclids in a huge tank. and i think this is one of the tank. its def not a 55g. looks like its 500 gallons or more.

I was talking in general lol I know that more than 30 fish that's like 250 fish

This is an accepted practice for mbuna tanks. As long as water quality is good, fish has no problems. In fact this is better than what some people do, which is 2 fish per species.

I wasn't aware that the species or origin of the fish had any bearing on the style.
