A friend of mine had picked up a Clown Knife for thier 30 gal (ugh the 1st) without knowing anything about them. After losing a bunch of their other fish and finding out these guys can get 3' long they gave the fish to me. I have this fish in my 110gal with my Bichir, and I'm wondering how long it could stay in that tank before I'd need to upgrade or rehome it.
The knife is about 7" long and eating like a hog. How fast should I expect this fish to grow? Will the 110 (48"X18"X30") be ok for a long time? Help would be apreciated.

I will say I have seen worse (smaller tanks with CK's) I wouldn't get rid of it too quickly, IMO. You are better off than some other people that have CK's. It would be good motivation to find a larger tank between now and the time it outgrows it. I would say you got another year. The growth is exponential but seems to slow once they hit 13". That is amazing if someone can get their knife to grow to 20" in a years time.

I think they tend to slow down after 12" I'd say a year. Maybe even a few more months after that.

lol, you make it sound like having a CK is a bad thing.

unless you have huge aquaria they normally stop at 24" or so anyway
