The ad reads Hello Free to a good home My 3 year old sons 4" Albino Channel Catfish, Whiskers has outgrown his 5 gallon hex aquarium a few months too early to let him ho in a local pond. Please dont respond unless you haver a good home for him ,also of you have larger aggressive fish that will gulp him down dont bother . he is in a tank now with a 1.5" goldfish so if your other fish are that size they should be safe. keep in mind he is a native channel catfish and a game fish at that. unless you want then to be food dont put hime with 1 inch fish. Have a great one Ryan.
This one probably pissed a lot of MFKers off. Not only is the guy keeping the fish in a ridiculously small tank, but they were going to release it into the wild!
Anyways, I feel like someone needs to save this fish. I will, but the only coldish tank I have right now is my 20 long which currently houses my dragon goby, majestic swan. I'm worried that if I put a channel cat in, majestic swan will never get anything to eat. I do have my 55, which is not too heavily stocked with cichlids, but is kept at 80 degrees. Also, one of my peacock cichlids is only like 2 inches long, so I'm not sure if I should be worried about the cat eating it. I also know that a 55 probably won't house a channel cat for life, so I would need to be rehoming it pretty quickly. What do you guys think?
