Hi everyone I have my bigger tanks set up and they are beautiful but my 150 just isn't doing it for me. I find that the tank just looks bland and boring any ideas or thoughts on making it a real show tank. Thanks.20170819_224110.jpg

There is 8" pvc pipe that runs from one end of the rocks to the other end and yes more frontosa is always nice but they are hard to find where I live.

Ditch the front and add a butti and 20 red jewel cichlids!-)

A good ol' trip to the store with loadsa new decor too.

Change your scape so it's less symmetrical and put something in with more height so your fish can swim amongst cover at different levels within their environment

Build a lake tanganyika tank around the frontosa
A stack of rocks in the back corner (far left) and another slope of rocks towards the front of the tank about 1/4 of the way off the right so you have open swimming space and lots of caves.
Point the powerhead/ filter outlet behind the rock pile in the corner on the left pushing length ways across the tank and a wave maker/powerhead behind the second rock pile pushing water to the front of the tank so it looks natural.
Fish options
X1 frontosa
X20 shell dwellers will breed rapidly and fry will act as a natural food source for the frontosa so you can experience the predatory behaviour (most adults will hide in the rocks when the frontosa is near)
X2 pairs of Black Pearl calvus cichlids
X3 synodontis decorus (cleanup crew)

Hello; Be cautious stacking rocks. Tank bottoms have been busted out from tumbling rocks. Some reports of fish dislodging rock. Others of people dropping rocks.

In the end the only one whose opinion matters is yours.

Silicone rock structures? But very true
