Well here is the story. We were searching and searching for cockatoo's but could only find some babies at this breeders house. Also their was a macaw for sale at colosanties, so me and my dad were off to the breeders house then to colosanties. I walked in and I was in heaven, cockatoo's, macaws, everything. The breeder was really nice, so was his wife. Then I saw this amazon. He as not for sale. But I asked if I could pick her up and he let me, he said most people are scared of her but I was right in their, lol. She was playing, she says peek-a-boo, very hyper, bright eyes. I was in love. He said because of the way i handled her and was not scared of her and she bonded to me right away he would sell her to me. She was also more expensive then what I had but he new this bird was already bonding to me so he said alright I will sell her to you for the amount you have. I was so excited and happy. So my baby came home with me. She is stuch a blast, very curious but she is nervous. Which I think is normal. I named her Aly. Im so excited I didn't even sleep. Im going to pet smart this morning for a bunch of toys. She doesn't have much so I will be going this morning. Im so excited. I was shocked but you can't find cockatoo's in Windsor.

congrats on the new member of the family, hope you enjoy her for a long time, especialy seeing as how she already is bonding to you..my friend had one for the longest time and it learned tons of words, even learned how to call the gf's cats inside to eat lol..

Thanks, I just love her already. She's amazing. Oh she was talking up a storm their. She says peek-a-boo, it's super cute.

is she an Ocrochephala?

Very nice of the breeder, obiviously this breeder cares about the birds. Good looking bird, BTW how old is it?

No, she is a yellow crested. It was so nice of the breeder, she clung to me for dear life and I loved her the minute I layed eyes on her even though she was not for sale, lol. Oh he cares a great deal for his birds, he loves them and cares who they go to. She is 5 years old and they live 50 years. lol

Congrats on the pick up!!!! She looks good. When I was a kid my dad brought home a blue front amazon named sam. She was amazing. She bonded with me right away. My dad ended up selling her because she bit him causing stitches(She didn't like my dad). I still miss her.

My mom has an Amazon yellow nape who she (and my father) raised from a featherless baby. He's now 37 or 38 years old, and totally attached to my mother. He somewhat tolerates certain people that he is constantly exposed to, but attacks my father who he sees as a rival mate. My brother and I can get in proximity of him, but he will bite suddenly when he decides we are being a threat (we never really are but he thinks we are) so my mother is the only person who can handle him. He is an amazing talker and to this day his vocabulary will turn over as he learns new things. Something things he's said for years, other things he has lost, but his ability to mimic is incredible. Have fun with your new girl.
