Yes! I finally have my new polypterus senegals :) have been trying to find them for months...

im very happy, but i havent seen them too much yet as theyre still a bit skittish, but are both eating so thats good.:headbang2

but i have a question... 2 p.senegals in a 4x2x2? is it too much? esspecially with my other fish... a bumblebee cat hopefully 3 silver dollars and a bgk. i would go bigger but there is no room.

im a bit weary of the bgk though, as i know they can get to 18"... but usually a bit smaller dont they? which could be too big for the tank. i'll get rid of it if i have too. i like the polypterus...
 
Are you talking about a 4' x 2' x 2' tank? If so that is a decent amount of room. I have two sens in a 75g tank which is 4' x 18" x 18" and they have plenty of room.

yes a 4'x2'x2'. Happy days :)

so the little extra room in my proposed (i say proposed but it will happen) tank might be able to handle a few more fish? especially if they're fish that are happy in the mid/top layers of the tank?
 
the fish you listed as your stocklist should be fine, except the BGK might get a little too big, but it should take quite a while to get past the sens if it's smaller. you could probably add some more fish, too.

bgks grow so slow that you should be fine for a long time, and probably for life. most don't get to 12 inches..
 
i have 2senaglus in 4x2x2 and thats more then enough for 4polypterus they told me.
