I found this guy at walmart. Normally I never buy fish from there..but I saw this little guy, and he looked different from the rest of the pleco shipment they just got in..My heart took over and I could not think of him in some Walmart shopper's ten gallon..yes I am bad I know :(

If he is going to be a big fella, I'll get him healthy and find him a good home..if he will be a little fella I will try to keep him..any info is appreciated..

I took him down to my regular pet store and they called him a Pit Bull pleco..but when I got home a checked Planet catfish he did not look like a pit bull pleco..

I do not know if it matters but he is on the light side..meaning in the pictures he is light colored because that is him and not because he is mad...but on that note he is rather spunky :)

Thanks!

LOL..I don't think the one I got is that rare or super special or anything..

It was funny, I spotted him 15 feet away from the fish section..amongst at least 40 of the common (regular plecos they have at walmart)...the clerk was like, "he don't look no different fom the others"--I made a mental note to myself to come back frequently to that particular Walmart to one day catch a Blue-eye Panaque..LOL

It's a Hypostomus but which one it is will be nearly impossible to figure out since so many look alike. You would need to know where it came from or its parents came from to figure it out. I got one who looked very similiar to yours when I first got it and now it looks alot better but still don't know exactly what Hypostomus it is so I just refer to it as Hypostomus sp.

Also if it is like mine it won't get to big they usually get 9-12".

That looks like a type of peckolita pleco which only gets around 3-4 inches.

Do you know which one? I just looked trough the Peckolitas and found some similar but not exact..

It would be fantastic if he stayed that small...
