I've always wanted to discuss eating bacon with strangers. I have also wanted to discuss eating strangers with bacon. I laughed at the thought of people on that forum thinking that their knowledge of bacon is superior to others on the forum and getting in heated arguments. Maybe they have a bacon photo of the month contest sponsored by Hormel. Maybe they even have a forum attention whore with an avatar of herself wearing nothing but bacon. I wonder if they have bacon forum trolls that come over from sausagefest.net . I bet they have stickies like "Eating bacon responsibly" and "Bacon FAQ". I'm off to the bacon forum. I'll let you guys know about all of the awesome info I come up with.

Ode to Bacon
While under quilt I did repose,
sleep fighting 'gainst the light,
a perfect odor met my nose.
Waked at once, feet took flight,
sure and swift-footed 'til I spied
a dark, smoked confection.
Sweet, to crackling crispiness fried.
Bacon! food perfection!

A charger piled with bacon, I
did scarf, then looked for more.
The cook gave me the evil eye,
booted me out the door.
So, now, a guest I'll be no more
in homes where bacon's served.
My reputation goes before
and, it is well deserved.
