When Rusty Wessel gave his presentation at the last North Jersey Aquarium Society meeting, he showed a video of plecos in a stream fed lake in Mexico. He said the plecos (most likely introduced by humans) are the biggest threat to the fish populations down there. There were thousands of them all over the bottom.
