i got a new eel today

it a 6'' Green eel. i have a few questions about it though. what will it eat, size, tank mates. its in my 29 gallon now. will post pics when i find my camera.

acually it a tire track eel. they sold it as a ''green'' eel.

do they grow quikly.

They will eat brine and fairy shrimp at that size, also baby or very small guppies, tetras etc., and love blod worms black worms, tubifex and small earth worms, as they grow they will eat larger worms, ghost shrimp, market shrimp, clams and almost any meaty food, they can be kept with any fish that is to large to eat but not so aggressive as to harrass the eel. The exception to this is other spinies as they often squabble with them. They do get large and fairly quickly, expect to upgrade to a 55g in 6 months, and larger there after.

Umm ive never heard of green eels, ive only kept fire eels.
