my buddy upgraded,therefore i inherited.this is the only thing i have ever gotten for free in this saltwater hobby except marine ich!yes! its not the best skimmer,but something is better than nothing.i have only one question,i know some of his fish were sick,so how do i disinfect this used skimmer?if anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it.thanks to everyone in advance.

wash the skimmer in boiling water...then let it dry for about two days. All the parasites will be dead by then.
i'd run it in bleachwater before i'd boil it... parranoid about melting it :/ maybe that's just me

you could also run vinegar through it, while its in operation of course. and then let dry for a solid few days.
