It's happening guys, I got a quote for polypterus. 22.75 USD for a 3-4" specimen. Getting a list of available species on Monday, I can't wait to tease you guys.

Another thing, apparently bichirs are pretty weak after importing, is it wise to let it sit in the LFS for a week or so to make sure it is healthy?

If you grab it right out of the delivery truck still in bag I'd advise that vs. letting it get used to the LFS then moving it again. get the the stress of moving all out of the way at once.

+1 plus it woul be better off not being exposed to lfs tanks. But then again if you let the lfs hold it and they get more than 1 of what your purchasing you could hand pick the best looking most active fish.
