i got a spare 29

and i want a single fish or maybe a pair of monster fish. i was thinking a pike cichlid but the wife doesn't like the adult colors. i got a convict, an albine channel cat and an albine pleco i'll keep in it through the winter til i dig the pond deeper, so i got a little time.

anyone got a suggestion as to what cool monster fish i can keep in it next spring?

what species? i need something that will not out grow the tank.

I kept a pair of snowflakes in a 55 for over 8 years and they very rarely ever left the small rock caves at the bottom. Eels are far more flexable than fish of the same length and seem to require a lot less room by choice.

the wife will want something more active, she gets bored with fish easily. to date shes had, oscars, convicts, africans, pacu, channel cat, clown knife, and sun cat. all within the last year, in the same tank. i've got the con in the pond till winter comes, then back in the 29.

lol I didn't say they weren't active or intresting. They are amazing to watch at feeding time. Just that they didn't need tons of room.

its her tank. i'll let her stock it. she lets me have my tanks. i had a 150, 75, 3-30 and a 10g at one time and she stayed quiet. i'll let her stock her 29
