I got a weird common bichir

I have 5 in my tank 3 common sens and 1 ornate and 1 endlicheri bichir

all are roughly the same size and all juvinals

one of my smaller common sens has been a bit strange recently caught him 2x munchen on a leaf it yanked off a plant and did indeed swallow it
also seems to enjoy munching on slow sinking chilid pellets I put in for the crayfish

there all fed 2 frozen beef heart cubes and frozen blood worms daily seems to keep everyone from eating the other inhabitants

not entirely sure what to make of this behavior

Nothing odd I had Sens that do that exact things you mentioned, some try different things out of curiosity lol.:)

I think its common for juvies, i had my sen ate a algea wafer.
 
Yeah mine all ate algea tabs at one point or another when little. Kinda wonder if they do that as instinct since plant matter is easier to get than protein at that size.
