so i totally thought for the longest time that my jag was a male but apparently not. i'm super excited that she laid eggs but i don't think they were fertilized by any of the males in the tank. she's huttled in the pot defending the eggs with no male of any kind in sight and she hasn't paired up at all. could it be she let a male do his business then exiled him or maybe she just felt the need to do it? i'm thinking i might put up a divider and try and get a male jag for her or just try and put the male festae on her side and see what happens. i'll try and get some pictures tomorrow if i can.

well, hope your eggs are fertilized :) I'm hoping the same thing.

Next few hours at work will be killer, dying to get home and stare to see if there are (if) any changes!

i checked them when i got up for work this morning at seven thirty and they were still tan and again when i got home just a little bit ago and still the same. only about five or six are white from what i can tell..

If they're still tan sounds like they got fertilized. :D

now there's twelve that are white.. out of about 200+ eggs. i guess they did get fertilized.. i wonder who the father was? maybe i should call maury?

Lol, well all is sounding good on your egg situation.

Pretty much the same on mine, a few have turned white the rest are sorta tanish- gray so, I suppose its just a matter of time now :)

So, you've still got a mystery daddy... well, when the come out you'll know ;)

yeah i guess this means i have to grow out some of the fry to see what they are haha. woo hoo to guessing games haha. i'll update when i get home from work later.
