my red devil has just laid eggs!!!! one problem theres no male:S there was a male jd in with her 2 days ago until she beat him up badly and i took him out are the eggs still gunna hatch?

Most likely not considering if she was so aggressive to him i don't she let him fertilize eggs

if there was no other fish in there to fertilize the eggs then they wont hatch.

eggs dont become fertile inside the fish, is not like people

they get laid then fertilized

if he was not there when the eggs were laid, then no. im not sure if a JD and RD could even breed together. she will continue to guard them even if they aren't fertilized. my female laid eggs a few weeks ago, the male drove her away, never fertilized them and still guarded them. its just instinct

should i remove the eggs? are they gonna boost my ammonia or get her sick? or should i just leave them in there and she will take care of them
