So after lots of research and phone calls to lfs with actual knowledge I decided not to get a wolf fish and went with the lungfish. They had it listed as a african lungfish and by the look its looks like a WAL. From what I've been told they are the lesser aggressive lung as far as african lungs go. I was told on average they will hit 3' in the wild and will hit that in a tank but 2 1/2 is more common unless massive tanks are provided. I was told they could live in 90 gallon just because they dont move all that much but the lfs said it isnt recommended and lenght is very important so the fish can stretch out and swim. They said tankmates are possible as long as they are bigger but problems could accur when the lung is full grown. Mine is currently housed in a 75 gallon with some south american cichlids and a clown kniife. Idk if its smart but I removed my delhezi bichir just because he's only 6 inches and isnt too fat yet but i may add him once i put my larger tank up. My lung is around 13 inches and looks great compared to smaller one they had and its spots weren't as impressive as the one I bought....
