I got my new babies a Super red severum and a baby F1 Notatus both are about 1". I did priority shipping and was really scared because its been snowing. I took a chance I normally do over night shipping or next day. They were shipped out Monday I got them this afternoon today Wednesday.

They are alive the Super red looks great swimming around. The notatus looks a little more stressed his bag looked like it leaked a little but he is fine. I'm slowly adjusting them and will take photo once they settle in. I'm so excited :headbang2

Oh no looks like the Super Red severum has a swim bladder problem poor thing. I will try feeding him Peas in a day. That always helped my Betta so I am not too worried.

Ok I got some photos. They are both in a 10 Gal QT tank. I'm getting my 100 Gal tomorrow I had to wait for better road conditions.

The Notatus 1".

I read that rough handling can cause them to have the "swim bladder problem" I'm not too freaked out I am pretty sure it will work its self out. I will try the Epsom salt if it does not get better on its own with the peas and rest. Thanks.

nice fish! Grats! I was wondering about the temperment of the super red serverums. I have a 120 gal with 2 small geo's, a small red tail shark, 3 pictus corys, gold nugget, spotted leaf fish, beta, and 2 chinese algea eaters. All still 2.5 inches or under. I am about to recieve 3 ebjd's this week and was wondering if a red severum would be ok with the current fish I have or if they are too agressive for a community tank?

Thanks . No the "severums" in general are mainly peaceful. of course there are some crazy ones out there. I have a green severum with my EBJD. I would be more worries about the EBJD then the Severums. My Green severum that I have had for 4 months now is so laid back never starts trouble and always comes over to say HI.

Once you get one you will want more I have 3 now.

Pictus cory?? Do you mean Pictus catfish they are not Cory cats. I have 3 of them with my Severum and EBJD. I think a Severum would be fine in your tank. Just warning you will fall in love and want more.

Thanks.
update
The Red I have named Mr Pink is swimming fine today it must have been the travel throw off his swim bladder and now its ok. He is eating some too. The little Notatus I names Spot is not showing interest in food yet. Besides that he seems fine. I hope tomorrow he starts eating.

The plug I am using for the QT tank is on by a switch and I guess I truned the tank all off last night no heat no filter oops. I did a 20% Wc for them.
