Adopted a breeding pair of Convicts along with 22 juveniles (3/4 - 1 1/2" - all from breeding pair) and my lfs is happy to give me store credit for them. Was thinking of feeding up the juveniles before I trade them in and keepin the breeders for a least one spawning before I trade them in too. I know that there have been loads of threads and posts on Cons and breeding them, but does anyone have any advice on growth rates. Was thinking of feeding new fry (if and when I get any) on baby brine shrimp when they are free swimming, but have read somewhere that they will eat secretions off the parents skin for the first week or so. Is this true?
Any other advice on breeding them would be appreciated.
