i got some new bichirs

so here i got a ornat bichir and a segnale bichir.

what i was wondering was how big in cativity and wild do the each get. jw all

Cool that you got some bichir! The ornate will get about 2' and the senegal around 1', so you have got to watch out for the ornate eating the senegal when the size difference becomes to big. But that will take a long time.

Ornate will get a little over 20 inches, senegal 12... both larger in the wild. Enjoy

ya i post pics when im off of work the ornate is like 3 inches and segnal is 7 inches. bolth in diff tanks segnal is in main tank and ornate is in grow out

nice. im sure, the ornate will catch up to the size of the senegal in no time. my ornate grew from 4" to 7" in 2-3mos. hehe

think its 27" in the wild for ornates and 12" for sengals. senegals can pretty much get to that, but ornates seem to be smaller
