I have a 90 gallon tank its 4 feet long about 1.75 feet high and wide i have 2 magnum 350's and 2 emperor 400's and a power head. There's 5 reds and i think a brandtii Im not sure because the guy at the fish store said it was a black piranha but he has golden fins and a golden belly and his eye isn't really red. Heres some picks.

6 pygos ina 4 foot tank, yes, there is something to worry about, its called canibalism. a tern plus five RBP is blood bath. keep the tank at a cooler temp.

filtration is deffinatly not a problem though

they dont even really eat fish just pellets i try to buy them live food they just co exist with them for months so i take them out and feed them to my wolffish. my p's are crazy over pellets and ignore fish. Ill get a better picture of the golden P.

Hmm...interesting. Then I'd say you lucked out...that's really unheard of.

I think it's unheard of mostly cause the people that do it get tired of being called crazy or dumb for doing it so they just dont bother telling people. my spilo and pygo have cohabitated for a while now without the slightest problem but I know if i posted a thread about it someone, if not a lot, would come along and say it can't and wont work. Now maybe when I'm out of college and have my phd in marine biology I might feel like debating the matter but for now I'm just another P fan

Thanks for making his point

That last fish you mentioned is not a brandtii, I owned a brandtii before looks nothing like that, that looks like a gold mac. I wouldnt keep it with the pygos they will eventually go after it for being different, Ive tried to shoal a gold with reds before didn't last more than a month.
