I got the ok from my folks that if I go to college locally for nursing I can build a fish room!! I already have measured everything out and plan to start building as soon as I get a job. I am planning on building all of the stands. So far I have 2 10's, 6 20's, 29, 45, 55, 65, 75, 125, 180. I plan on keeping all these tanks where they are(which is not in the fish room). The fish room is going to consist of:
125x2
75x8
55x8
20 or 29hx20ish
10x20 for grow outs.
so around 2000 gallons. I plan on breeding fronts/calvus/malawi/some discus/synos/plecos and maybe some others like fh's.All tanks will be run off a central blower with box/sponge filters. What do you guys think?

Well sounds like you got a plan, I have no experience in maintaining multiple tanks, I just have one big one. But Good luck in School and look forward to seeing some pics of your set ups!

You must have waaaay more time on your hands than I do. Do you get out of the house much? How do you have time to maintain all those tanks plus go to school?

I will actually have it as a little private buis. I don't want profit just enough to maintain it without losing alot of money. I will be shipping fish also once I get it fully established. Then its time to look at expanding it.

Actually I have a life. Im out every day. The tanks that I already do have I do all tank work and wc's on sunday evening or morning. Im in a sport every season of the year. Don't be too quick to judge others.

OK relax I didn't mean to tip the scales on you. I was just looking at all the tank you already have and then you were going to add a few more. I am running 11 tanks right now and it takes a bit of time to keep up. Thats why I was joking about your time. Sorry if I got you upset that was not my intention at all. I know school can take quite a bit of time.

Skip the part of the nursing school where they remove the common sense portion of your brain. You need to keep the ability to figure things out that aren't written in procedure manuals.

(Nurses, don't get pissed at me. If you're not one that I'm talking about you skipped the class. However I'm willing to bet that 90% of your fellow nurses didn't.)

The profession I always wanted to go into and doing a job shadow this summer before senior year.No you didn't make me mad just you should look around at some others on here who have 10k+ gallons.

Get that nursing degree and you can have a whole fish house!
