I gots a flagtail........yeah!

hes about 3-4 in long and love him. He has a real high dorsal and great orange/red colors. I friggin got robbed though. 40 bucks. I know. But hey i had to get him. he is the only one i have ever seen. never have them in any of my lfs. he likes alge pelets and flakes. i heard they can take the slime coat off fish but mine doesnt try. anybody that has one let me know about yours

Pics anyone? I'm sure I know what you're talking about, I just can't recall hearing the name flagtail. Of course, the distributors up north have some crazy names for fish.

Ahh, I have seen them before. I think they were called something like "zebratail chilodus". Thanks for the pic. And yes, they are a cool fish.

I ocassionaly see these at 4" for $30, pricey bastyards but they get big and can live for 20 yrs+

They are really cool, they do not eat slime if they are well fed, can grow quite large and are the best algae eaters you ever saw!! They are slow eaters so make sure they get planty to eat..
