I have been thinking of getting some discus. I went to my LFS they were getting 3 in. I got there right when the fish got in. I know everything abou this story is wrong but I could not help my self. I only one looked good the others looked like death. with an open wound and just poor shape. The one I got was active in the bag looked good after a long ride to the store and in yellow nasty water.

SO I took this little 2" guy home. He is doing well in a 20 gal bare bottom. I will do daily WC and feed frozen beefheat mix and blood worms.

If I do well with this guy I might turn my empty 55gal into a discus tank. till then what is this guy? any ideas? I wanted a green or blue. I'm thinking a pigeon?

I don't think it's a pigeon blood. But your on the right track with the w/c's and beef heart/worm mix. I just think daily w/cs is a bit too much for one discus.........
 
Thanks. Yeah after looking at more photo it is a pigeon for sure. It has the peppering here is a better photo. I'm going to look for a friend for him tomarrow.

He is doing great.
