What good are 10 gallons for people in reptile-keeping? The only ones I can think of are Pictus Geckos, Viper Geckos, and Dwarf Sand Gecko that can stay for life. However what about people that don't want micro geckos and overly-expensive small snakes? It use to them, but not to me.

Seriously... they are only good for growout for juvie snakes and lizards, which would leave you with EMPTY TANK SYNDROME! The cycle must end!

I have no interest in whatsoever in amphibians, the insects I like require more vertical than horizontal space and often better kept in the dark anyway, the only fish I like are natives or stingrays. Oh woe is me. Wish I never got a 10 gallon, yet I don't want to give it up as it has many attached memories.

I dunno I have two empty ten's laying around at my house too..........One will be for some sort of reptile/amphibian.....The other i think I'm going to make into a sump/wet-dry.........

Yeah, I can't say I have a 10 gallon anymore. I first got in when it was 8 and I had some fish in it. Later on I used it to keep a hermit crab and then down the road a baby painted turtle for a brief time. They are pretty useless for most pets. What about those 2 1/2 gallon aquariums. I have one but I keep crickets in it till feeding time.

10's are tiny for rats, but they are great for mice insects crustaceans, amphibians, and a good number of the lizards, and not to mention FISH! :)

Could probably fit one or two anoles in a 10.

I can't count how many times a 10 gallon has saved a fish from being killed at my house.

I do keep a few tarantulas in 10 gallons turned up on end.

Urgh, I wouldn't even keep a lizard bigger than 6" in it. Even a single female anole wouldn't really be satisified in it since they get bigger than that. I would love to put an Anthill Python in it if doesn't cost me an arm and a leg for one.

Now I don't even use the 10 gallon for growing out since you can use a tank divider in their permament home.

Oh well... I guess it will be a home to some nasty feeders.
