Thanks to this site, I am looking to see how much it will be for me to move from my 2nd story apt down to a first floor and upgrade to a 2 bedroom.

Thanks to yall I know want a 150-200g tank for my Fahaka and use his 110 for a oscar or 2. And Im afraid of having that much weight plus a 55 in a second story, also a 800sq 1bedroom apt doesnt have enough room.

Thats just the beginning lol

Oh my word! 2 oscars in a 110 is sooooo overstocked.
It's a close call, but you're almost sarcastically correct on that one, creepyoldguy.

Sarcasm aside, two 13" fish in a 110 (which are usually tall) is going to be just about ideal at best. Aside from keeping nitrAtes below 20ppm to ward off HITH, you'll have territory issues from time to time which require space to be hashed out. Seriously, two Oscars really do pretty much max out a 110, only because of those factors. Yes, a 110 could hold a lot more fish tissue in good health, just not more Oscar tissue. So you could do a lot more fish if they weren't big and territorial. For example, a good shoal of 15 silver dollars is totally reasonable because they like to be in schools. I think you get the idea.

At first I wasnt sure what to think on your comment COG, haha. I was thinking I had a good plan LOL

Between this and the puffer forum, ive gone from a 5g to a 5g, 10g, 55g, and a 110g all in under 4 months. Now with plans of moving so I can get a 150-200g tank. When this bug bites it bites hard. And I thought this addiction would be cheaper then my jeeping addiction

Is this some kind of inside joke I am not picking up on?

No, I just keep rambling. Theres a thread in the general discussion about a guy how took his daugther to the fair and she got goldfish. They put the goldfish in a 2g or so tank and he was told immediatly that he's overstocked and needs a pond for long term. It's just that this site is as full of good info as it is full of people taking fishkeeping to the extreme and they flame ppl constantly. Youre supposed to have an fx5 and ac110 on a 125 and w/c's 2-3 times a week and bla bla bla. It just gets old seeing the same overkill bullcrap constantly. My all time favorite of this site is watching the little clicks in different forums. If a newb posts a topic the majority of the time they wait til the leader or someone who has a high post count to give advice and then they all jump in on the bandwagon. Quite amusing if you ask me!
