So while checking on my Endli in quarentine I noticed that he still had a bulge in his tummy....I thought odd, he has not digested his Krill yet....Fin count 1...2...3.........Where did my third female congo go, the little bugger ate a 1" Congo Tetra when he's 4"....I don't know what to say other than, Lesson Learned, and I ask should I move them into my 55gal they're the same size (give a quarter inch) as my Ctenopoma and my Senegal does not bother him
BTW, it was the smallest 1" Congo that became Au Natural for my Endli

My 8" senegal randomly ate my 2" pink skirt tetra. I caught him in the act! I don't know how he fit the whole thing down his troat, since pink skirts are practically sqaure and his head is only an inch or so wide...... He was probably just bored lol.
I just walked away with the new policy not to put anything in my tank that I am not prepared to lose.

All the other FULLY grown tetras I've had in with the bichir have survived. To be fair to the bichir, that pink skirt was always bothering him. I think it just all depends on the personalities of the different fishes the tank. Some will mesh and some just won't. There is one way to find out. All of the mid-level swimmers (except that one pink skirt) have done fine with my Sen (the 8-incher).
Plus, your Ctenopoma is probably a little more aggressive than the congo was, so he'll most likely keep the endli in check. :)
