I once passed up one this size for a pittance, I still regret it now as silvers get expensive quickly, good luck, check out the stickys they will help you out

Any chance of a picture of the little guy?

Pics please.. every aro I had that size died.....RIP

everytime I had arrowanas that size I just make sure there are plenty of feeder guppies in the tank. I have never lost any of that size and have been quite successful. Of course I did lose a larger one at 20 inches when he cleared the tank, cover and all and another 10 inch one who became dinner to a shovelnose.

good luck

I have grown a bunch from egg sack with success I put them in one of those plastic breeder tanks in the tank so they can catch food and swim easier for couple weeks.
Feed them guppies or pieces of krill and if they won't eat very tiny crickets.

Turn up the temp to 80-85. Put 1 or two feeder at one feeding. From my experience, they eat floating mini pellet pretty well too. :) They will start eatting once the york is gone. btw, i am planning to get 30 of those soon. Next week. All the baby i raise up feed on pellet :)

do not put feeder guppies with it, they will harrass the baby silver and nip at the fins

feed it hikari food sticks but broken into 3 pieces off 1 pellet

pics2...cant wait for the pics
