I have a bichir that is about 10 inches long, and it's green (I think it's a senegal bichir).

Other fish in the same tank include 2 goldfish that are just about as long, and much larger, three cories, and a gold gourami.

I got the bichir for my birthday a couple years ago, so I didn't intend to mix it with these other fish, but it is doing good. However, when I try to feed him feeder fish, the goldfish actually eat them way before he can. Is there a way I can get the bichir to eat the fish before the goldfish can? Also, is there any other type of food that goldfish won't eat, and the bichir will?
He eats dried shrimp, that the goldfish are interested in too, and the bichir does not bother eating bloodworms. Thanks for helping.

I would get rid of the goldfish. they are cold water fish and bichirs need some warmer temps.

Try using a sinking type of pellet food like Hikari sinking carnivore or massivore. This is a very well balanced food source to keep your bichir healthy. Feeder fish are risky meaning they have the potential to carry diseases which could make your bichir sick.

Crazy Taco, there is no way I'm giving up my goldfish, not after 5 years. Okay, Thanks Tobyone, I'll give the Massivore a shot.

Use some kind of tube and drop the sinking pellets into it with the other end
as close to the bichir as possible this is called target feeding-Anne

Out of interest is your tank heated, or not heated?
crazy taco... all but the goldfish are tropical fish...
Sinking pellets are your best shot. You could target feed it too using piping, or even tongues/a speared piece of shrimp if it is large enough to take it.
