For as long as I been keeping fish which has been a long time. I have noticed something but I never really knew why. I never really found out why people would pay so much for a "Wide Bar Dat". They are nice fish in all...but I see them going for very high prices.


So basically my question is...Why are Wide Bar Dats. So expensive?
 
Aside from thier great personality and good looks its mainly because they are no longer allowed to be exported out of their native country, hence people love the rarity of the beast...
 
Perhaps your asking to much? You shipping? Besides the economy is hurting right now....

$600 for 13" of Widebar goodness.. BUt yeah, the economy has tightened up a bit. If I could find someone to ship it, I would have had it sold ages ago.
 
How big was it when you first got it?
