Such beauties fish:) Love your set up. I just bought 2 discus too but the blue one:)

The second picture looks to have the Tefe green on the left not the right. The royal blue is in the last picture and is the second highest discus. Feed them a lot of food, and keep up on water changes, all except the pigeon blood are beginning to stunt.

thanks everyone.

You think they are stunted? If they are I don't think it's that bad. I got them from macs discus yesterday. The pigeon was from the pet store about 2 weeks ago.

This is the one that was said to be royal blue and I think it is. Tefe have more spotting not big marking like this.

I feed them twice a day more when I don't work. I don't know how anyone with a life could feed their fish 6 times a day let alone daily wc.

Thanks.

Here is the other that was said to be green tefe

Tefe greens have far more green to red, and do not have a light blue to them when young. They also will have more yellow/orange in the center of their body, as seen in the top discus. This does not look like a pure tefe, but the top is more like a juvy tefe green then royal blue. The lower one is not a tefe, it looks like a royal blue scribbled, but is definitely not a tefe green IMO. Yes they are definitely stunted already, they need more food. Even people with lives need to find time to feed the discus enough. Their health should not revolve around when you have time. You decided to get these fish, you should have decided ahead of time how to keep them fed. An auto feeder that drop tetramin color flakes 2-3 times a day will help while you are gone during the day, but while they are young like this, it is critical to do water changes frequently, at least 3 times a week, and feed at least 4 times a day. Do you feed blackworms and beefheart?

I am feeding 2 times a day no matter what on my days off I feed more like 4 times. BUt I have read that people feed there fish 6 times a day that I think would be hard to do. I have a toddler and a job you know what im saying.

I'm doing more water changes ever 3 days I do 30-40%. I know what it takes to keep these type of fish. I was just saying that I don't know how some people can work, care for them self, a family, and still feed their fish 6 times a day and do daily water changes that's all. Not saying Im not going to try and do my best. I can feed 2-3 times a day and do WC every 3 days fine but any more I think would be hard.

They eat frozen Blood worms and a mix of brine shrimp and beefheats. I'm going to try and get them to eat some other type of food too.

Get rid of the brine shrimp. Blackworms are better for them then the bloodworms. A simple auto feeder would fix your feeding issue.
